Stained Floors

Contemporary styled hotel in St. Ives

Our clients wanted to have a fresh new look for the breakfast room at their new hotel in St. Ives and after consultations and various samples we hand stained this floor then finished in a top German commercial grade finish with an ultra matt finish that almost has a ‘raw’ unfinished look.

Bold look in Truro House

After a contemporary styled extension to this lovely period property, our clients linked the floors through and wanted a strong look in keeping with the property. Its often thought that dark floors can make a room feel smaller but the reality is that with light walls, high ceilings, and natural light-dark floors can really’ open’ space up.

Masking a patchy floor...

Our client had floor that had been patched in by the builders (not us we would like to point out!) and wanted a cost effective solution that didn’t involve relaying reclaimed boards or buying a new floor. With pine one of the best ways to accomplish this is by staining dark which can mask the different timbers pretty effectively. This was a smoked oak stain hand applied and finished with an ultra matt natural finish from Loba.
